craigie family

one thing i love about summer, is getting to photograph families on holiday. Everyone's relaxed, away from work & home & responsibility, kids run around getting dirty, everyone swims, gets sand between their toes, a little sticky at time (thanks to watermelon & all things sweet & juicy), & time moves at a sweet pace during it all - time to sleep in, read, kick back, take a yoga class, a long wander on the beach. So wrapped in all of that, families come out to play & i sit back & get to capture some of that holiday silliness & magic. Such was the case with the craigie family. Turns out rebecca & i went to the same photography school, a few years apart, & many years ago (for me). So we share a love of photography. And we all shared a love of family, of easy play, of snacks, dogs, beach walks, airplane rides (the kid kind), the welcoming of new babies into our lives. So their session was a gift for me. Afternoon sunshine, great people, lovely family, a 3 year old with heaps of energy, big smiles & a sense of adventure, & a very lovely dog, rebecca's first child, who was every bit a part of the day.
