alex & dale were married on friday, bathed in bright spring sunshine that felt like full-on summer. Surrounded by family & their closest friends, in the beauty of their home garden, filled with ease & happiness, with heaps of love & joy around them all. It was a very sweet day & i'm grateful to have been asked to capture it. Here's a sneak peek of what's to come...

meet devon & his good buddy renault. I love these guys. They're so much fun to be around... can't you just feel the fun & the love? Devon's my sister's youngest creation (with her man Ed) & a VERY sweet & funny man to be around - full of beans & all things boyish (& a wonder-snuggler when the mood strikes).

devon got a pogo stick for his birthday & he's fast becoming a master-pogo'er. He pogo'ed non-stop from his place to my parents that day, which is a good 5 minute walk, & was still game to hop about for photos...

ok, so jordan is my amazing nephew (my sister's 1st boy & 2nd sweetie in the gang - she created 5 in all, to the delight of our whole family - truly, years of love & entertainment - thanks, linda!) & james is the fabulous man in his life. They both moved onto hornby the winter after our wedding (which is when most of us met james & fell in love with him... ah, weddings!) Anyhow, i like to think that sweet day out on the point cast a bit of a spell over these two & drew them to our little rock. It's really wonderful having them here. Great cooks, great game-players, creative, fun, gorgeous & always turning me on to new music. Blessings galore.

Sharalin has found a new man, Josh, & a really amazing, fun, loving, open-hearted, sweet, dependable, hard-working, caring, amazing one at that. I am his new fan (i've been a fan of sharalin's, my sister's 3rd sweetie, since she was a wee babe & my love & admiration for her just keeps growing). It was very delightful to be around new, young love in all it's glory. These 2 were shining. And happy. And silly. Did i mention fun? And fun. Loads of laughter & whispers & giggling & so forth. Sweet, sweet, sweet. A little taste of the happiness...

ah, little nila. What to say... she's featured this month on the cover of Island Parent Magazine because she won a photographer's Cutest Baby on Vancouver Island competition. That says a lot. (From what i've seen, there are an abundance of cute babies out there, for sure). She is cuteness through & through. Just over 1 year & walking & running about like a pro. She loves to be the centre of attention, which is a good thing, because she pretty much always is. There will be lots more of her to come but here's a sampling to start with (before the whole gang arrived)...
