Tess awakens with a lot on her mind. She is a busy, professional baby. That nap has really eaten into her schedule. If she wants to catch up, she might have to move some things around; but where was she?

That's it! I had a meeting with the bears!
"Skipping lunch..."
I simply can't be late again, this is a very important account... I'll have to get a cookie at Starbucks on the way. Sorry Jenny Craig, better luck next week!
"The Quandary..."
Oh no! I've left my laptop in my office! Now I'll have to go back in and get it. My boss wont be happy...
"We're not on speaking terms at the moment..."
There was an eerie silence as Tess attempted to slink past her Boss's desk. He did that thing where he stares blankly out the window... She didn't say anything. Best not to goad the bull... also, she's a baby.
"Doubt..."
And that's when it hit her: I'm a baby?!
"Grief..."
In one fell swoop of terrifying consciousness, Tess' world came crashing down around her. What if it had all been for naught? Those late nights at the office. Those weekend conferences. Those lonely take out diners. All the years she sacrificed just to get a hold on the next rung of the corporate ladder... Her best years, some would say, squandered... Who's writing this thing anyway?!
