saturday marked a day of firsts for me - my first time shooting a wedding on the west coast of vancouver island (at the black rock resort in euclulet) & my first time shooting with another photographer (my great friend & fabulous photographer michael albert - www.michaelsweddings.net/). Ahhh... the gift of newness. What a day it was. Amie & nathan were amazing - so genuinely in love & full of grace & fun & enthusiasm. And wow-wow-wow-drop-dead-gorgeous to boot. And their families & friends, all of whom traveled, some great distances to celebrate with them, were open & kind & considerate. We know where amie & nathan's roots come from! The black rock is an amazing venue, very west coast with a great hit of urban style & glamour. Amazing views, rock & wood. And great people pulling it all together. And (another and...) it was warm, with a high light fog overhead, that lifted from time to time to let the sun shine through, but mostly was like a big beautiful soft box in the sky. A photographers dream. So, needless to say, it all added up to an amazing day that i'm grateful to have been a part of. Here's a little wander through the journey...
