Rachelle Chinnery is a good friend, great client & a potter extraordinaire (did i mention a fabulous cook?). I did a photo shoot of her newest work in the fall as she needed images to send to 2 juried Ceramic Exhibitions. She just found out she got into one of the best ceramic shows in Europe: THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF POSTMODERN CERAMICS 2009 - Ceramica Multiplex in Varazdin, Croatia. Out of 15,000 applicants she was 1 of only 3 ceramisists chosen from all of Canada. And she was also selected as a finalist in the annual NICHE AWARDS - a competition celebrating excellence and innovation in American and Canadian craft. Well done, Rachelle! It feels amazing to be a small part of such an endeavour. Yahoo. The Sake Set was the winning image for the Croatia Show & the Covered Jar won her the finalist spot at the Niche Awards.
