the Leitchs, Mcivors & Smiths
One of the highlights of my summer is getting together with the Leith-Mcivor-Smith clan. Each summer we choose a new location on Hornby, in the late afternoon sunshine, to gather all together. Then i just sit back & capture the fun. This gang is amazing! Deeply connected, playful, outgoing, fun, silly, fabulous & totally at ease with each other. Wonderfully uncontrolled, the afternoons unfold as they do & a great time is always had by us all. It's been a gift to watch Lauren & Liam grow from kids into young teenagers & to watch Chloe's entrance into the world. How can a job get better than this? They even manage to make the hours of post production photoshop work fun... i often catch myself with a big fat grin on my face while working on their photos - the feeling of the day still coming vividly through in their pictures. Here's a taste from last summer...

megan, michael & chloe
i have had the joy of photographing Megan & Michael (part of the Leitch-Mcivor-Smith clan above) since they were sweethearts, through to Chloe's 1st summer at 6 weeks & again last summer when little Chloe was just over 1 year. What a journey! Chloe just gets more & more beautiful (which seems impossible, but somehow it's true). Megan & Michael are shining as parents & still glowing as sweethearts. I'm already looking forward to meeting them all again this summer, somewhere on Hornby island, as they gather together with the rest of Megan's family to celebrate the joy of family & holiday time together. Truly one of the delights of my job!

thomas, maria, max & ella
Thomas, Maria, Max & Ella are great friends & one of the joys of visiting Victoria. They've been in Thailand for the last 5 months, soaking in the sun & culture on Ko Samui. Now it's home again - a little chillier here but still the sun shone brightly for our trip along Dallas Road. Max is amazing on his bike - zoom ahead. Wait. Zoom ahead. Ella preferred to be towed along on her 2 wheels. Cold & bright - good friends, fun kids, always an adventure. Here are a few of my favorites...
